‘please bless that mom won’t be so……evil werewolf….’

oh hey there family! :)

so monday was a crazy, CRAZY blizzard......... like literally praying "dear Heavenly Father, please bless that we don't die right now......." {hint: we did not die} :) also, our car got stuck in the snow. so a member tried to push us out with her car and i witnessed a voluntary car crash. but Harry [the car] is okay. the car crash did not work to remove us from the snow. so a bearded man and his 5 children helped us push it out. and i helped as well. i felt like Rocky. [duh dunn dunnnnnn! duh dunn dunnnnn! duh dunn dunnnnnnn! dun nuh nuh NUH dunnnnnnnnn!!!!!!!!!!] :) :) also the bearded man was like "can we get an adult over there?" and i was like yes, an adult should do that....... before i realized that i counted as an adult. so apparently i do not yet consider myself a grown-up. haha. oh well :)

after this adventure, we went to subway (shout-out to everyone who sent us subway gift cards for Chistmas......) and when i went to go buy a cookie, the nice worker girl informed me that it was "free cookie monday" and gave me a warm one for free. #prettysureyoujustmadethatup #thanksanyways #tendermercies #Godisgood :) :) :)

on tuesday we sang hymn #103 (precious savior, dear redeemer) to the tune of come thou fount and i loved it :)

also, had dinner at a member's house and this was the prayer of the child: "please bless that mom won't be so.................. evil werewolf................" ................................... cue sister proffit DYINGGGGGG laughing hahahahahaha

so that was great :) :) also it was 44 degrees and it was really really weird. we took pictures hahah.

also i would like to announce that the top of PMG 93 is a hidden gem. mad that i wasn't studying like this earlier. but tis okay :) #repentance

and on FRIDAY IT WAS ZONE CONFERENCE. and, sad news........... it was my FINAL zone conference :( :( :( :( :( so obviously we had to make it awesome. so obviously we created a fun new game i like to call.................... "zone conference bingo."  :) :) :) it was super duper fun. i loved it.

ZONE CONFERENCE WAS SO SO SO SO GREAT. it was seriously fantastic. i was pumped. i would now like to share with you a series of quotes:

"this is wisconsin! it snows miracles every day!" ~ elder aldo hernandez

"this is not a "Heavenly Father, bless everybody, goodnight!" kind of prayer!" ~ president cutler

"without the Book of Mormon, there would be no reason for us to do missionary work." ~ president cutler

[talking about how John the Baptist was beheaded but then was resurrected...... with his head firmly attached....... which thing i never had considered....... mind blown........] "When you get old, you wanna know! You're gonna come back lookin' good!" ~ president cutler

"When Christ comes again, you won't have to worry that you will miss it." ~ president cutler (he was on one that day...... i wish i could email you his facial expressions and inflections hahaha)

"God wants us to be connected to other people." ~ president cutler. this is actually a great one. he was talking about how elijah came to joseph smith and this is why.....  God wants us all to be connected to each other. :) :) :)

"You're actually connected to everybody on earth through Noah!!!!!!" ~ president cutler. and you have to know the face he made and the way he said it..... it was like the most exciting news EVER to him hahahaha

elder hernandez quotes from our role-play together:

"i'm not perfect, i'm not a sister..."

~ elder beech (AP) looming over us so that he can like.... hear how we're doing.... or something ~

elder h: "you know how, when you feel the Spirit it feels really good [please know that he has the world's strongest mexican accent ever], but when satan is around it feels like he's closing in on you?? elder beech is like satan." Hahahahahaha

okay basically i died. i know that you don't know any of these people or very much about my life or why this is funny. but i still feel that i want to share with you my life :) :) :)

"look around, people!! beer & cheese does not make an attractive society!!" d h h. i died laughing harder than everybody else. it was okay. :) :)

sister martin taking a picture of us: "1.... 2..... 18......"

elder hernandez: "in the MTC, i learned that 3 comes after 2......... is that not right???" hahahahaha

also, elder beech is from england and he was showing me a picture he took of something in "marquette" and i swore he said "my cat" and then "my car" ..... i was confused. which was a good thing, actually, because "horrendous british accent" was on my bingo sheet ;) :) :)

okay. i'm sorry. this email is not very uplifting or spiritual haha it's just kinda weird. well. that happens i guess haha sorryyyyy familyyyyyy :) good thing you have two other missionaries to write you.......? hahah ;)

but hey, good news! J d l s got baptized!!!!!!! :) :) :) :) :)

quote of the day for sunday is "ninja vanish!!" haha because that's what sister blood and i say to each other when our friends disappear directly after sacrament meeting. it is seriously impressive, the speed at which they slip away. i should ask them to teach me their tricks. :) :)

o quote of the week (apparently this is going to be a quote-y email). we were teaching about enduring to the end, and she is awesome and like... the best human ever and teaches me. and she said. "there's a difference between just obedience and having a desire to be obedient." which is so true. and i love her. amen. :) :)

okay family. so here is the skinny. friday febuary 21st [zone conference] was my first "last." and it kinda freaked me out a little bit and so i've been on this roller coaster of emotion lately and it's mostly good it's just also making me nauseous.... as roller coasters tend to do haha :)

so i apologize for this weird nature of this email.

basically.... i love my mission. and i love other missionaries. and i love the state of wisconsin (i know, weird, right???). and i just love it here so much. but i also miss you a lot. and i'm excited to see you (eventually...) and i know that everything happens in the Lord's timing and that He will take care of me. but it's also kind of scary. and i love it here a lot. so. we'll see. :)

friday they asked me to bear my testimony. president started calling up a bunch of people, and i was like "hmm hmm hmmm" (humming to myself a la sister butler<3) and then he called up me and sister stuart and i was like hm. all of the air in this room is suddenly gone. these are all the people who are going home in the next 2 transfers. and i am one of them. how unfortunate.

because i'm PRETTY SURE i just got here. i'm pretty sure i've only been out for like.... 2 months. or so. i'm PRETTY SURE it was just my first zone conference a couple days ago and i was bearing my testimony in that very same building but as a NEW missionary, not a going-home one.

so i didn't really know what to say. so i just said what i know. about Jesus Christ. and how He lives and loves us. and how He's watching over us. and working alongside us. and He knows us and is aware of us and He helps us. and I love Him. and that's about it.

i don't know, family. it's a weirddddd feeling, going home. i mean i still have 8 1/2 weeks. but still.

also, sister blood has been having really bad headaches. so it would be good if she could feel better, because she is a champion missionary and i love her a lot :)

i love my mission.

i love the precious little elder who came up to me after zone conference and thanked me for always brightening his day hahahaa :) :)

i love all the missionaries

i love the work He has called us to do :) :)

i love you, family :) :)

forever&ever&ever&ever :)

“I love Christ and I love you and I want you guys to be friends.” :)

well family, i would first like to start off this email by stating that if you leave bananas in your car in wisconsin during a polar vortex, they WILL freeze and they WILL be extra super mushy when they thaw out. so beware. :) :)

i would next like to share with you some precious quotes from district meeting:

"when i realized the Spirit can talk to me through feelings, i was like, I love the Church! like, that's my feeling! this Church is true!!" :)

"i love Christ and I love you and I want you guys to be friends."

elder andrus: [to me & sis blood] "how long have you two been companions?"

sis blood: "this is our 2nd [transfer]."

me: "why?"

elder a: "...no reason."

elder h (his companion) [under his breath] "because you seem like you're related......"

:) :) #compunity

and others that i wrote down to share with you later :) :)

also, i've decided that i love Ether 2 extra super a lot :) :) like, let's just notice that in verse 19 the brother of Jared wants light so that they can steer the barges (understandable.) but in verse 22 he's willing to give that up and cross the water in darkness if that's what the Lord wants. vs 24, the Lord's gonna steer. but vs. 23, 25, He's willing to give them light anyways :) :)

hey fun fact, it's the 2nd coldest winter in wisconsin recorded history!! woo-hoo!! :) :) :) #imasurvivor #rumorhasitanyways #cantfactcheck #nogoogle #gullible #missionarylife :) :)

also, we had some legit questions and commitment invitations on tuesday. 1. "how have you let the answers [to prayers] you've received solidify your testimony?" and, 2."assess the commitment invitations you extend... do they help investigators feel/develop love?"

:) i thought that was cool. i love our district! they are great :) :)

i would also like to say that i've been studying prayer in the Book of Mormon lately and it has been legit. Actions fulfill prayers! check it -- enos. ether 2-3. alma 31. captain moroni in alma 46. the disciples in 3 Ne. 19:9-13. Jesus giving the intercessory prayer and then performing the Atonement. (technically not in the Book of Mormon but still legit.) anyways. it is awesome and i love it. I just love the Book of Mormon!! :) :)

also, my WHOLE mission i've been like, "there's nothing in the Book of Mormon to read with people for the Restoration lesson!!" wrong-o chong-o bong-o, sister proffit...... 1 Ne. 11:27-34!! hooray!! so grateful i've discovered that. i love the Book of Mormon. now to find some people to share it with............... ;)

friday was exchanges with milwaukee!! hooray!!! i weirdly LOVE the city of milwaukee even though there is like........... no real reason to hahaha i just love it :) :) (mosiah 18:30) :) :) it's a party and i love exchanges and i love sister zebley and i love this missionary LIFE!! it is the greatest. :) :) and milwaukee is ghetto fabulous and fun. :) :) hooray for valentimes day!! :) :)

also, apparently valentine's day is a bigger deal than we knew haha we got so many presents!!! y'all are so nice!!! and the members here are so nice!! i love them!! :) :) :) :)

spells i need to be real: "hominem revelio!!"

seriously though. i just need to know if people are home. hahah. :) :)

in other news....... good idea = heart attacking people. bad idea = eating ALL the candy and cookies and brownies hahaha #oopsie :) :)

finally, i would like to share a few sunday gems :)

"If our lives and our faith are centered upon Jesus Christ and his restored gospel, nothing can ever go permanently wrong." {howard w. hunter.} i would like to say that i know that that's true. :)

also, lately i've been viewing church more & more as a like... i don't know. a fortification center. church & a gospel-centered home. the world is scary y'all!! like... i am legitimately afraid of it sometimes. but then i think, never fear, the gospel is here!! and i remember that Christ wants us to succeed. and if we follow Him, we will :) :)  we have on the armor of God!! {thank you to nathan for sending me that song on cd} :) :) basically, when we follow Jesus Christ, His promises are sure. all of them. and they are legit. and I would like to follow Him more. and help others to do the same. even though i am lame and scared sometimes. i don't know. life is hard. but it is also beautiful and full of joy. and the struggle is the essential part of the journey. i don't know. i just love it :) :)

lastly, here is something cool: the Spirit is a foretaste of eternal joy and a promise of eternal life. (pmg p. 69 i think; see also BD: "earnest")

basically, every time you feel the Spirit it's like a little taste-tester of what eternal life will be like. and it's God's promise to you that if you hold out faithful, you can have that feeling forever with Him :) :) :) :) :) :) :) awesome, right?????? i just love this blessed gospel :) :) :)

and finally, we had a magnificent red-pink-and-valentine's day dinner at the j's last night, and it was great hahaha. it was out of control. we exchanged valentine's. i loved it :) :) :)

i love you, family!!! keep praying for me & for us & for this area. good things are happening. we just need to keep working hard & endure to the end & hold out faithful. oh, other awesome thing that i already told you but that i still love --- the principles of the gospel become an increasingly rewarding pattern of living :) :) i know that's true too!! i'm so grateful for this gospel and for repentance and faith and covenants and the Spirit and all that our Father in Heaven has blessed us with to help us to BE HAPPY. because in the end, that's the point of all this. HOORAY. :) :) :) :) :)

i love you, family. keep up the amazing work. hurrah for israel :) :) :)

roses are red, nothing natural is blue…..

.... but there's nothing unnatural….about my love for you!!! :) :) :) hahahahaha. that is my valentines poem for the year, of which i am SO proud...... :) last night we had dinner with a person who works for the company who makes all the colors of anything ever. and he informed me that there is no natural way to obtain the color blue. and that just got my creative juices flowin ;) hahaha. :) :) :) #illbemyownvalentinethisyear ;)

good news family! i remembered my planner this week! #noveltime :) :)

things i forgot last week were mostly just scriptures that i like. 3 Ne.18:23 because it reminds me of that giant thing in the sand that eats people from Star Wars VI. Romans 10:14-15 because it's legit. Mormon 5:18/Ether 12:4 because we've recently resurrected the anchor lesson, shout-out to Sister Ciarra Butler for that one :) :) and Jeremiah 20:9 because it's epic.

i would now like to give you a peek into my life by sharing a series of quotes from this past weeks district meeting:

"modern-day miracles, people. it's not just with the seagulls in 18-whatever."

"the point is, we all have access to spiritual bagpipes, to drown out the voice of satan. whaaaaaaaaaa.........." [bagpipe noise]

"if you don't have the Holy Ghost, you're not a missionary. Boom."

"before my mission, walkin down the street i was like, yeah that's a person, that's a person.... but now i'm like, i freakin love all these people!!!!!"

"faith and hope together are like a giant centrifuge of missionary power."

:) :) #lovethedistrict

something i wish i would've started doing earlier is writing down great/funny quotes in the sides of my pmg. i love it hahah :) :)

also, on tuesday miss o had her baptism interview and we were showing her how to get baptized... (we showed her a clip from the district haha) and then the member was like "plug your nose!" and she was like "okay!" and he was like "no i'm serious. the water will rush into your lungs, and you WILL drown. plug your nose." #intensity #shepluggedhernose :)

okay family. i am going to buckle down and write this letter now. #blameitontheaddbaby

this is a true statement: sometimes things are not always fun. and days are cold and no one is home and satan is a dummy. but if you put a smile on and FAKE IT.... and talk in a british accent with your companion all day.......... and sometimes accidentally slip into it in public............. and are friends with your companion who is lovely and great............ you can make it through and even be HAPPY :) :) :) so THA'T'S awesome, right????? :) :) :) i shall be my friend, even if no one else is. and sister blood. and Jesus. ;)

wednesday we taught the m and i love them. even though they are just....... so...... funny and old. and stubborn. hahaha. i am going to LOVE THEM into this gospel and the greatest part is, it's not even hard, i really do love them!! :) :) :) (they're the ones who gave me a baby-sized bag of m&ms, btw.) :) good news: the Book of Mormon is LITERALLY buried treasure (thank you elder q via sister butler) and is pure gold and all i everrrr want to do is read it with people. fail-proof. for real. :) :) also i have learned that 3 Ne. 11:1-17 is a journey. a journey from not-knowing to knowing. and i love it. and, in the words of elder clark, "conversion is a journey you take yourself." and it's the best journey, people. so take it. and read 3 Ne 11:1-17. because it's ze best :) :) :)

thursday............. was a tornado of drama that through me into a tailspin of emotional angst. hahaha. is that dramatic enough for you?? ;) here is what happened:

*sister proffit and sister blood coming home to weekly plan*

sister proffit: i hope we have mail today!

*sister blood checks the mail and pulls out a huge white envelope*

*sister proffit realizes it's from the mission office and her heart plunges into despair because she knows what it is and she's been dreading this day since the start of the transfer*

*charlie brown music starts playing* "waaaaaa-waa waaaaaaaaaaaaa.... waaaaa waaaaaaaaa........"

*sister proffit hangs her head and shlumps up the stairs holding the envelope*

- we enter the apartment –

*sister proffit opens it and throws the papers around the room* "no, no, no, no, definitely not!"

*sister proffit starts washing dishes with great vigor*

*sister blood starts reading sister proffit's mail*

okay i'll spare you the rest of the play-by-play hahaha. basically, i got my trunky papers. (we're probably not supposed to call them that but oh well.) and what it is is a packet of letters from the mission office, one from president that's like "endure to the end! start setting goals for the first year after your mission!" (my heart: "nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!") and then TRAVEL TIPS ("NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!") and then a letter that's like "you miiiiiiiiiiiiight have tuburculosis so you should probably get tested for that asap when you get home" hahahahah.

TUBURCULOSIS.

the ridiculousness of everything and the reality of how OLD i am kind of threw me for a loop. it was a weird rest of the day. i cried. two tiny tears. about pine needles. (remember when i cried about mis-matching spoons?? it was that kind of a day.... hahaha) (also there are still pine needles on our carpet. #nevergetalivetree.)

but good news. i survived. and how weird that thursday was jakey's first full day, nathy's year mark, and my...... tuburculosis papers day. hahaha. man, you are champion parents. that's all i've got to say. :) :)

also, fun fact: when you get a carwash and it's 9 degrees outside, the side-mirrors freeze. #dumb :)

let's see. what else.

oh! a tender mercy from the Lord in the form of J J. he's home from his mission right now for medical reasons but he's headed back soon (hopefully) but while he's heeeeeereeeeeeeeee he is the CHAMPION MEMBER-PRESENT OF ALL TIME. and we are totally using and abusing him hahaha but he's cool with it. seriously, best member-present ever. love it. aaaaaaand, it's giving me hope for the future hahah. becaaaaaauseeee (obviously) i've been stressing about home-time. and i've decided to stop it asap, but something that is helping is knowing that okay, i can just go home and be like j. and it'll be okay. it's nice :) :) but right now i can just focus on right now. and not even think or worry about it :) :)

so anyways. we brought j with us to teach our friend s. AND WE TOTALLY FELT THE SPIRIT so we knew the Lord was pleased :) :) (pmg 11). and it was delicious. and we read the Book of Mormon (obvi) about the plan of salvation and she was like "thaaaaaaaaat's what's in this book?? okay now i totally want to read it!!!" um, yes. you should've been. but that's okay. :) :) also, it was like suuuuuuuuuuuch a classic plan of salvation lesson with her asking questions like, "but what about people who never got to hear about Christ?" ohhhhh s. we are GETTING there :) :) :) :) #loveit

I would like to say that i love Alma 31:32-38 because it is a primo example of the prayer of faith. boom baby. pmg ch. 4. also, alma 31 is two prayers, neatly laid out on opposite pages for us to more easily compare them. how nice of God. :) :) :)

so Friday was a good day after all. and I remembered that I love this :)

AND THEN IT WAS SATURDAY. and O got baptiiiiiiiiiiiiiiizedddddd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :) :) :) :) :) aaaaaaand i love her. and she was a bright star in my life throughout this week of crazy. and we got to clean her house and teach her the gospel and i just love her :) :) it was sooooooooooooooo stupidly cute, there were more people at her baptism than there usually are at sacrament meeting......... haha. and b m gave the talk on the Holy Ghost and he called her his unofficial older sister and i died. because it was so cute. (they m's are the family next door to o who had a youth activity at their house and then invited o and introduced her and loved her) :) :) aaaaand i just loved it. i sent pictures home :) :) it was a party. of love and Spirit and covenants :) :) and yesterday she got confirmed and told us she felt like she was floating :) :)

quote from o as we were cleaning her house: "you guys are the best missionaries........ and not just cause you're cleaning my house......." hahah :) :)

also on saturday i got new great music and we danced in the snow. and it looked like glitter in the sky and i was happy. :) :) and we went to Culver's and ate chocolate eclair frozen custard because that is their greatest flavor and it just so happened to be the flavor of the day. and it was delicious. #imabutterburgerbaby ;)

and i love sister blood for always putting up with me hahah :) :)

miracle of Sunday = this: Sister C P! from Racine!! she's in the stake primary presidency so she came to visit Kettle and she remembered meeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!! which, hello, it's been a year since i left racine and i was only there for 3 months! but she totally saw my nameteg on my coat and remembered me and we hugged and hugged and it was a glorious reunion and i am SO looking forward to the celestial kingdom of God because glorious reunions for days up there :) :) :) :) :) :) :) anyways. it was tender. and it got me to thinking about how i forget sometimes what it feels like to be known and cared about for being YOU, not just a sister missionary. it's what i signed up for, and it comes in handy sometimes cause it gets you in doors (sometimes.........;)) and starts friendships, but it can also feel like you're interchangeable and replaceable. which i've kind of gotten used to haha. so it's nice when somebody remembers me by name and cares about ME. so often i'm just "sister" or "missionary," but when i'm called by my name it feels good :) and then i realized that God knows me by name!! He knows all of us by name. When He appeared to Joseph Smith, He called him by name. When we see Him again, He will call us by name. Think about it. it feels good :) :) :) He knows my name. I'm not interchangeable or replaceable to Him. and neither are you :) :) :) He knows us! Hooray!! :) :)

and then Sunday night we had dinner with the A and engaged in a conversation that launched the birth of this email's titular poem. and it was hilarious. and i laughed so much. titanium dioxide is in all our food. i'm never eating oreos again.

and sister a bought me little applesauces from woodman's cause she knows i like them :) :)

well family... i guess that's it! three cheers for making it to the end of this email hahaha believe it or not i did leave some stuff out ;) i love you all to the moon & back. i love my mission. sometimes days are hard and things are lame. but we keep marching on, and at the end of the day, i'm always always happy :) :) :)

roses are red

the Book of Mormon is blue

the gospel''s restored

and I love you :)

“I will bring a band of derelicts to church. These are my friends. They would like to be here today.”

title quote courtesy of s j, my new greatest friend. discussion topic: missionary work. fantastic. (she works at gas station and says everyone she talks to is legit high or drunk. we said just to follow the Spirit. hahaha.) :) :) :)

family, we have a problem. (or perhaps some would view it as a solution........) i left my planner at home this day. so i do NOT have all my notes of things i wanted to tell you. sad story. so we shall see how this goes just from memory hahaha. :) :)

i would first like to mention a frustration of mine. it is this: i canNOT share my oil!!!!!!!!! (matt. 25:1-9) it is very frustrating. i have so many friends who have questions but do not really want answers, they just want questions because then they will not have to change because then this gospel cannot be true if they have questions. {also: false.} friends, i am sad for you. i am sad because i know that this gospel is true. but i know it for me. and i can't know it for you :( :( :( i have my own answers that are mine, and as much as i want to just transplant them over to you and give you my answers and have everything make crystal clear sense, that is not how this agency game goes! all i can do is invite you to discover for yourself. you have to do it! you have to get your own answers that are yours. YOU have to ask, and YOU have to pray, and YOU have to study and press forward in faith. and you have to want to know. i can't do any of that for you. i feel like elder aaron in alma 22:22.  i do everything i can to help you. i invite you to stand. but at the end of the day..... you just have to do it.  but never fear, friends. i have confidence that you will stand. and you will have so much joy & happiness when you do :) :) :)

also, would like you like to know something awesome this week? "Our purpose in life is to find lasting peace, joy, and happiness as families and to prepare to return to live with God." LET'S JUST ALL SIT ON THAT FOR A MINUTE.

first of all, can we please just take an enormous moment/lifetime of gratitude that WE LITERALLY KNOW THE PURPOSE OF LIFE????????????????? yes, yes we can. :) J

also, can we please note that this plan of hApPiNeSs involves happiness NOW and in eternity?????? not either/or????? we don't have to be sad now so that we can be happy later, or happy now but sad later. BOTH TIMES HAPPY TIMES. :) :) :) :) :) :) :) i LOVE that (obviously) and i KNOW that it is true. i know, know, know it :) :) :) so let's tell everyone about this, okay?? :) :)

also, i would like to mention that i love BYU. and i would like to return there someday. so hopefully that works out..... haha. i just love this gospel. so much. all I ever want to do is learn about it and talk about it and teach it and live it and love it.  so that's the life plan we're going with right now :) :)

aaahhhhhh family so mad at myself for leaving my planner at home right now!!!! i'm using sis blood's planner to help me remember things but she mostly just writes down weird things i say so it's not so much helpful hahahah :) :)

OH i remembered something. I JUST LOVE THE BOOK OF MORMON. okay? okay. IT BRINGS THE SPIRIT SO MUCH. example a: teaching m p. you may recall this is my friend who came to church on our first concussion sunday as a tender mercy to show that the Lord had not forgotten us nor forsaken us even though we were not able to tend the vineyard. yes. love her. anyways she lives a kabillion miles away in the elder's area but their car got crunched (they weren't in it at the time) so they were at the shop so long story short they couldn't teach her on wednesday so we did. and it was. legit. because i love the Book of Mormon and i love the Spirit <3 <3 <3 all we did was read Mosiah 5 and talk about it. and friends, that chapter is LEGIT. i love it now more than i did before. (the Spirit'll do that to ya....) Mosiah 5:9, 12. just ponder for a moment what that will feel like. aaaaaahhhh. :) :) :) #allthetears #technicallyjustlikeonetearbutstill :) :) i just. love it. and also v. 15. and also reading the Book of Mormon with friends and then inviting them to set a goal and then commit to live it. because that. is. the best. #SPIRIT. :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

also i love o. she's finna get BAPTIZED on saturday and we are soooooooo excited. and she is so excited :) :) :) we were reading Moroni 6 yesterday (always read the Book of Mormon with friends!!!!) and talking about the baptismal interview questions, and we asked if she was ready to make this covenant and strive to be faithful to it, and she was like "YES, i've been waiting for two years!!!" hahaha. aaaaaaand i love her and she's a miracle and so cute :) :) :) also, Spirit moment. are you ready for this? (sad that you won't feel what i felt but that's okay i can still tell you about it.) so we're getting ready to do paperwork-y stuff, which is not that spiritual, but we read Moroni 6:4 -- "and their names were taken, that they might be remembered" and i just felt it. in my soul. O is going to be remembered. wherever she goes, whatever happens, wherever she moves, there will be missionaries like us who will FIND HER (we gon' find you!) and a ward family that she will be a part of. She is part of the Church of Christ! She's gonna have visiting teachers and home teachers and hold a calling and be a kingdom builder and i am soooooooo excited for her!!!!!!!!!!! friends. this is what it's all about. building the kingdom of God :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

speaking of which, we conducted a legit stake-out this week and it led to a miracle. #wegonfindyou. :) :) :) friday morning, we got dressed, grabbed our study stuff, and drove 20 minutes to s to sit in front of our friend s's house and study until she got home. and then we would ambush her. i was legit-ly afraid the neighbors were going to call the cops on us and i was planning what we would say to them in my head. it's whatever. the gospel is worth it. :) :) :) and, good news! she came home!!!! and no one called the cops on us!! :) after a really awkward internal battle for myself and sister blood which i will spare you the details on.......... we made contact with the target. and my dear friend s is now my beloved friend. and we hugged. and we came back the next day and taught her a lesson (nicely, with the Book of Mormon and the Spirit, not with our fists......... that sounds bad in this context hahah) and guess what?? she finna get baptized too :) :) :) :) :) aaaaaaaaand i love her. and GOOD THING we stalked her down because she was only home for legit 2 minutes and we would not have contacted her otherwise. #muricle.

SPEAKING OF MIRACLES I WOULD LIKE TO INFORM YOU OF SOMETHING. my bff j. do you remember him???? m d l s' husband whom i would attempt to teach in spanish in appleton??????? HE IS FINNA GET BAPTIZED AS WELL. #literallycryingtearsofjoy.

i do not know the details. but this is what has happened to me: sister butler emailed me this day and said that she saw elder museus (whom i love <3) and that HE told HER that jaimie is finna be baptized. and then i  l i t t e r a l l y  started crying, at this computer, in the library. because this. is. a legit. miracle. and i love him. and i love that family. and i would like to know more details. and he's finna be baptized. and it's a miracle. and i love this gospel. and i'm soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo sososososososososo happy for him. and for teaching the gospel in Spanish. and for referrals that were the wrong person and all these things that i cannot explain in an email but that let me know that God loves us. He loves all of us. and He wants us to be HAPPY. that is why we do this :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) forever!

well. i can't think of more things. i would like to end with a story about s j because she is my bff. once upon a time s j is the world's greatest human. she lives in a little apartment above a business and there's another one in the same above-business-hallway-area and this neighbor has a bathroom not attached to his house.... for some reason. so one time s j (i will always call her by her full name <3) needed a plunger for the shower. or something. so she used to just grab her neighbor's out of his bathroom and then put it back before he noticed. but then one time she did this and when she went to put it back............ he was in there.

so she felt really awkward about it. so she put a ribbon on the plunger and put it on his doormat hahahahahahahha. and THEN she still felt bad so she m a d e  h i m  c o o k i e s  and put an articles of faith card on the plate with them. and then she delivered them to him. and she got all dressed up to do it. and then she told me this story and i think i passed out on her floor laughing so hard hahahahahahahahahaha.

i hope you didn't have to be there. because this is the greatest missionary moment story of my life hahahahahahahahaha. :) :) :) :) :) :) :) i love her and i love missionary work and i love that the Lord knows our efforts and blesses us for trying hahaha. and i just LOVE HER. and i love all the friends of oconomowoc and the kettle moraine ward. they are just so lovely :) :) :)

i know i said i was done but i would like to mention just a few more things <3

once upon a saturday we were contacting old potentials and formers and we discovered another appropriate missionary quote, this time from "my big fat greek wedding." -- "look who's back agaaaainnnn!" :) we say it all the time to each other, waiting on doorsteps. because yes, we are back again. back to bring you this blessed and beautiful restored gospel that will bless and change your life. true story. hahaha. :) :)

i would also like to mention that we met a new friend t and he was leaving his house when we talked to him but then an awkward amount of time later we saw him in the same neighborhood potentially breaking into someone's house..... hahahaha. #missionlifeisweirdlife #heprobablyhadpermissionhejustlookedreallyweird:) :)

also i am grateful for sister blood. always laugh to death on weird saturdays. always take pictures of the beautiful sunset. the Lord loves us. He really, really does :) :) :)

i love all of you, family. i love this gospel. i know that it's true. i am so happy. :) :) :) :) :) this is the plan of happiness. peace and joy now are possible for all of us, regardless of our circumstances. eternal life in the world to come???????? yeaahhhhh babyyyy. let's do it :) :) :) :) :)

LOVE YOU SO SO MUCH
