oh rats i forgot what i wanted to call this one.......

hello dear family :) :) sorry for the short one last week! it's been lovely around here.... well actually sister butler really did have the flu so we stayed inside wednesday thursday friday but it wasn't too bad because we did TONS tuesday saturday & sunday. so that was good. :) :) being inside all day is weird as a missionary because there is like...... nothing to do. and you feel pointless haha. but i'm almost done reading Jesus the Christ! haha :)

tuesday we saw sister h with her VT's in the am and her HT's in the pm haha :) :) aaaaaaaaaand i love them. seriously so, so perfect for her.

IMPORTANT: here is a thing that i have realized.
all of the problems in the church could be solved if people just did their home & visiting teaching, & invited their neighbors to things.

basically.

this is true.

anyways her home teachers are great, it's a dad & his son, and we just LOVE THEM. the dad joined the church as an adult (did not know this!! awesome!!) and the son is 14 and just SO CUTE and he reminds me of my brothers SO SO MUCH so i was just smiling like an idiot imagining my dad & brothers being home teachers and it was AWESOMENESS. i. just. loved it. :) :) :) also we saw my friend k who i love, and my other recent convert friends the m family. #retentionbaby. :) :) also on tuesday i made myself a delicious salad, congratulations to myself. #proud.

thennnnnnnnnnnn sickness consumed the land......................... oh. and sad story....... elder kemper went home :/ they couldn't figure out what was wrong with him so they sent him home to have more tests. so now elder serrano is here. elder kimzey..... oh my goodness. this is fantastic. highlight of the sick days: elder kimzey figured out who all of us are in LOTR. (the fellowship.) elder kemper is gandalf because he died. falling. fighting an unknown beast. (seriously????!!!!!!! yes.) and he could [potentially] come back. elder beech is aragorn because he is the leader now & because we're pretty sure he's going to be the next assistant/king. elders thompson & larson are merry & pippin.... elder kimzey is frodo, elder croft is sam because he is like the sam-est person ever, & sister butler is legolas & i am gimli. because that is our relationship, according to elder kimzey. and then elder serrano is boromir. because he used to be the assistant. etc. it was hilarious. probably because we'd been inside for 3 days. but seriously it's perfect hahaha :) :) :)

and then it was saturday!! and we still both felt kind of sick but we were MOSTLY sick of being inside so we went outside anyways and it was great. sister butler made cute little flyer invites for the trunk or treat and then we drove them around to everybody we could think of. it was fun times. and it was cool to just go on straight inspiration..... one time we were driving and she literally started hitting me haha saying "wait wait wait wait wait who is that one person with the cute little blonde baby who gave us flowers who lives around here........" "uhhhhhh... oh!!!" and then we drove there & they were home & they are coming to trunk or treat, YAY :) :) :) I <3 church activities. also, this is cool. felt like a straight photograph of a missionary. we were driving to see t w / teardrop tattoo, and i missed the turn because we were coming from a weird angle, so i ended up weirdly far away and i was like.... should i make a u-turn? and sis butler's like whatever, we can just walk. so we did. and GUESS WHO WE SAW. my bff c. who (i think i told you this story??) gave us flowers & talked to us in his garden like, a month ago. ohhh hello c!! yes, i would love to answer your questions about the purpose of life and where we lived before we were born and the restoration of the gospel and prophets. :) :) :) :) :) yesssss. good times. teardrop tattoo wasn't home & neither was tina. oh well. :) :) :) aaaand just lots of cool stuff like that happened. bishop's family invited one of our on-the-brink-of-former investigators & now they're coming. YAY. :) :) :) :) :) also, we tried to go see the p but they weren't home. going back asap. :) :)

and thennnnnnnnnnn it was sunday and it was my favorite day. :) :) :) church was marvelous. like 90 people told me afterwards that i'm weirdly happy haha well they didn't put it that way haha they were just like "it's good to have your enthusiasm in the ward......" or "you sure are happy....." etc etc hahah thaaaaanks team ;) i juuuuuuuustttttt really love the gospel?? :) :) :) & when i'm talking about i just get SOOOOO EXCITEDDDDDDDD :) :) :)  oh ALSO, i have a new bff. her name is sister h. she is deaf and we are bffs. how many words have i ever spoken to her? well, a lot, but she can't hear them so it doesn't count. actual communication is limited. but still. we are bffs. even sister butler agrees. we always sit by each other at church and we always hug and we are always so excited to see each other and i just love her. and sometimes i call her but i have to use an awkward middle-man translator and i do not like that. buuuuuuttttt other than that we're besties. and they're starting a SIGN CLASS HERE hooray!!!!!! :) :) :)

oh but sunday. great day. love church. sis butler and i spoke, along with sister c who is just a doll, she joined the church a while back & her family aren't members but they came to support her & we love them :) we mostly spoke on how living the YW values helped us to be more Christlike (you have to be a Christlike missionary, not just do missionary things -- PMG) & know God loves us. good times. then bishop spoke about elder ballard's challenge #yes :) :) sunday school about sacrifice, great, oh SISTER H got a calling!!!!!!!!!! ward missionary in charge of activites. perf. :) :) :) i haven't said "perf" in so so long hahah where did that even come from....... #old. ps sorry you googled something bad!!!!!!!! i feel really bad haha........... i've been out of the world too long????????? carlotta is a delicious dessert. graham crackers & sweetened condensed milk & lime juice & something else. mexican. named after a spanish queen though so i get the problem........... whoopsie.

anyways. i love being in appleton because i secretly spy & see my old friends at church and i'm like yes!!! you're here!!!!!!! :) :) :) long-term effects babyy :) :)

anyways. where was i. i keep getting distracted. OH YES. relief society was great, i played the piano for like a musical-lesson about the hope of God's light and everyone cried which obviously means it's a success ;) seriously though. thennnnnn sister butler and i had a dance party for lunch........ and then we went to the tritapoe's for dinner and i LOVE THEM, they're from tennessee or kentucky or something and they are just SO CUTE and i love them. showed them alma 17:31-33, the cool version ;) and THEN we went to INVITE THE WORLD to trunk or treat!! and this is my favorite thing that happened: we stopped by a member's home to see if they had anybody they wanted to invite, the mom was like "oh sure i'll take some for the kids" and then we were like "do you know if any of your neighbors might be interested?" "hmm.... well you could try" and then gave us literally 4 houses to stop by haha. yesssssss :) :) :) invite the world!!! then we went to them all and then came back to get our car & she gave us pears. #yummy. then we went to see aNOTHER member and we could see through the window that they had guests over for dinner so we were like uuuuhhh... but we were there anyways so we knocked and we were just going to hand them the flyers and leave but the dad was like no COME IN so we did and met their neighbors and the member family explained who we were and about church & stuff & it was chill & we ate homemade rolls with PASSION FRUIT BUTTER (whaaaaatt???) and cookies and had an in-depth discussion about pens (G2 forever baby) because being a missionary has made me a pen snob and apparently lawrence professors are pen snobs too. #goodtimes. and theeeeeennnnn we invited them and left them more invitations to invite the whole world............ stopped by another members house, they insisted that we come inside, turns out they don't believe in halloween hahaha (shout-out to mom!!!) but they were super nice. and their daughter is getting ready for a mission so we gave them our # :) :) and we taught them doctrine from the Book of Mormon & it was great. I LOVE MEMBERS HOMES ON SUNDAY AFTERNOONS. :) :) :) #Spirit.

AND THEN. yes this was a wonderful day. we went to visit a less-active friend, knocked & knocked & knocked (this is the world's longest letter to make up for last week?hahah), no answer... sis butler & i look at each other: "sidedoor?" apparently that was a prompting. so we knock it even though it's awkward & dark & we feel like we're trespassing. wellllll yes someone answers & agrees to deliver the message & is nice. HOORAY. :) :)

AND THEN. oh family, it just gets better :) :) :) :) we went to ONE more house on our way home because #onemore is always the attitude we should have :) :) part-member family we've never met. knock knock knock. nothing. again, side-door prompting. so we go. and the world's nicest old man opens the door and is SO NICE and he LOVES CATS more than anyone else i have ever met ever. literally, ever. SO MUCH LOVE FOR CATS. there are like 20 and he was in the middle of feeding them dinner...... one strip of steak, one chicken breast, wet food warmed & stirred, and then dry food. "well it's all important!" oh, and bottled water. never city water. apparently that gives cats UTIs. :) :) :) anyways, that made my life. #capstone. best day. i loved it :) :)

i'm learning so much. i can't believe it's been a year almost. like what even. what. even. i tell ya. best decision ever :) :) :) alma 26:1. story of my mission. :) :) :) looooove it. loooove wisconsin. loooooooooove you all to the moon & back :) :) :)

oh & i've started christmas shopping!! m & j --- i bought you a cute necklace. but then i decided that i really liked it. so i'm wearing it right now hahaha but i'll probably still send it to you ;) & mom i bought you a cute surprise that i hope you like :) :) :) what do y'all want for Christmas??????? give me a hint haha :) :)

LOVE YOU so so much :) :) :) miss you tons. you are the best :) :) love love love
sister cece proffit :) :) :)

this is what we looked like talking to chris. except he is man.

oh and also it's starting to get cold & it tried to snow 3 times this week!!!!!!!!!

oh aaaaaaand on sunday we had ward choir & i substituted playing the piano for that too. thanks mom!!!!!!! hahah ;)

a quiet week :)

hello dear family! i just love you all so much :) :) it's been a pretty quiet week around here...... sister butler's had (we think) the flu for the past few days :/ sad dad. buuuttt that's okay! i've read 32 chapters of Jesus the Christ! haha great book ;)

some things that are awesome:

Alma 7:11 - what He did

Alma 7:12 - why <3

tuesday was zone training, so fun, we took pictures but of course they're on sister butler's camera & that's at home....... next week :)

oh, here's something that's not awesome..... elder kemper is sick! :( :( he has some weird thing where he feels like he's falling all the time.......... so he's seeing an ENT (all the elders thought i meant ent, like tree-person, when i told them elder kemper should see one.........) on wednesday, please bless all goes well! :) :)

s is doing so well; we've been visiting with her in members' homes and she has awesome home teachers that just got assigned! a father & son :) this ward is so awesome :) :) we had dinner with bishop w & his family last night, and a couple other families in the ward...... 25 people in the house haha it was awesome :) :)

more things that are awesome:

the shepherd's pie i had thursday night. secret ingredient? curry powder. loved it.

also, cherry butter. it's a thing :) :)

the game we invented to play with a recent convert family whose son has down's syndrome.......... we took a gold balloon & colored it to be a liahona, then read 1 Ne 16 together and every time we read "and it came to pass" we passed the liahona, and then whoever had it last got a prize :) :) haha it was so cute; i am ridiculously proud of that little balloon hahaha :) :)

new hashtag i've invented: #sistermissionarywork

as in, "we texted our friend a bedtime lullaby to remind her to read her scriptures #sistermissionarywork" :) :) it's the best!!!!!! so so fun!!!!! i just love this missionary land :) :) :)

that's pretty much it i guess....... like i said, a pretty quiet week :) hope all is well with yall!! sister butler & i are speaking in church next week on "how following the young women's values helped me prepare prepare to be a missionary." :) pretty cool! i love this work!! & i love you! :) :) :)

xoxoxoxox           sister cece proffit :) :) :)

oh ALSO one more awesome thing.......... my bff sister g (from 1st ward) made me CARLOTTA & put it in the fridge for me........ if you do not know what that is, your life is sad and i admonish you to find out and try it. SO DELICIOUS i love her :) :) :)

also, the desires of my heart for the Christmas season are as follows:

christmas twinkle lights

a good salt dough recipe

BEST BIRTHDAY EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so many things to tell you this week!!!!!!!!!!!!! and so many pictures to send!!!!!!!!!!!! hopefully this all goes well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Second of all CAKE.SO MUCH. I AM SO FULL OF CAKE STILL.  I tend to look at them like they are newborn children……..? whoopsie.  It was a most excellent birthday JJJ

elder kemper (bff) made me a cake with a cat on it. #bestfriends also, we had interviews with the president that day!! So so good. Personal details to follow JJJ

investigator friend m and sister j made me an apple pie and a cake and dinner. #what #toonice #imisstwitter

I WAS SO HAPPY

and THEN we had exchanges with madison, and the drive is beautiful because wisconsin is beautiful. behold:

AND THEN SATURDAY WAS THE HAPPIEST DAY OF MY LIFE BECAUSE MY BEST FRIEND S GOT BAPTIZED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hooooooolllllllyyyyyyyyyyyyy......... family. SHE WAS SO EXCITED. she texted us that morning (it was raining) and said "good morning lovely ladies. today is a beautiful day. He has cleansed and refreshed the earth this morning as will happen later today with me. super excited". STOP IT. who even are you?????????????? & you KNOW we sang a beautiful medley at her baptism including a song about pondering on the beauty of the earth whenever there is rain and being clean etc etc etc :) :) :) :) :) so saturday morning we went on a walk with her and she showed us some of her pondering places & we had a little lesson and it was BEAUTIFUL. more pictures later if google doesn't shut me out. :) :)

-- happy sister proffit, wandering alone in the wilderness Hahaha

AND THENNNNNNNNN SHE GOTTTTTTTT BAAAAAAPTIIIIIIIIZEEEEEEEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) literally the cutest and happiest thing of anyone's life, EVER. :) :) :) :) :)

and thennnnnnnnnnn we went out to dinner to celebrate :) :) well actually in between, sister r asked the elders if they could give her friend's mom in the hospital a priesthood blessing, and they said yes, and s works at that hospital and asked if she could come along since she's never seen a priesthood blessing, and then we got invited to come along, and then they needed a friend (rules rules rules:)) so they brought brother r........ so we allllllllll caravan'd down oneida street to st. elizabeth's hospital hahaha and it was lovely :) :) :) best friends!! power of God!! feeling the Spirit!! :) :) & then we went to get mexican food for dinner to celebrate. & it was lovely :) :) :)

okay. so where was i. oh yes, s's baptism :) :) :) :) :) soooooooo cuteeeeeeeee & happyyyyyyyyyyyyyy :) :) :) so her one request was that we stand as close as possible with a towel ready for her to dry her eyes because she doesn't like water in her eyes hahah <3 <3 so we stood on the mens side with a towel, she GOT BAPTIZED, she was so happy, they only had to do it once, she came up out of the water, we threw her the towel, she started BAWLING hardcore (happy tears!!!!) and hugged brother raddant, they closed the little curtain doors on the font and she's just crying & crying & we're whispering "go up the stairs!!! we'll be right there!!!!!!!" :) :) :) so we run around and meet her and she's just dripping wet & beautiful & happy & pure & i just hug her and she is so cute :) :) :) :) :) and she gets changed in record time because she used to be in the military haha. and while she was changing we asked elder kimzey to ask everyone to write her a little note with their testimony and we're putting those into a little photo album book for her to keep with some pictures too :) :) and thennnnnnnnnn there were some talks......... oh we sang "i feel my saviors love when i am baptized" before the baptism, so lovely <3 <3 well i played. sis butler & elder kimzey & elder croft sang :) :) i'll try to send you a usb with some videos soon!! :) :) and thennnnnn she bore her testimony, she talked about how her life was miraculously preserved in iraq during a roadside bombing and she was crying, so cute, she's like "i'm crying!" so surprised hahaha :) :) "and long story short that's how i know that Christ lives, amen." <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 so cute <3 <3 aaaaaaaaaaand then she got confirmed.... SO hilarious & great hahaha so she goes up to be confirmed, the bishopric & brother r stand in the circle, brother r acts as voice, it is great, she comes back to sit by me and is like..... hot. like her body temperature is radiating heat onto my arm. she's fanning herself and is like "i'm so hot! when they put their hands on my head i just felt this heat travel down through my whole body....... is it always like this???????" hahahaha. seriously, she touched my arm and it felt like she had a fever hahaha. "but i feel so peaceful!! i felt so peaceful yesterday but today it's more peaceful if possible!!" sister c behind us whispers "baptism by fire??" which is hilarious because we talked about that two weeks ago in sunday school haha and we were like "it's just symbolic...." well, apparently not for her hahaha. too funny!! & soooo cute :) :) :) & last night we texted her to see how she's doing & she said "the fever is gone but i have the tingling sensation all over. i feel so happy and loved. cheers to new beginnings and prayers that we never loose our hold on the iron rod." <3 <3 <3 stop. oh, we sang #274 "the iron rod" for the closing song because that is her favorite :) :) :)

so that was the baptism!! sooo happy & cute!! :) :) :) that was kiiiiinda the highlight of the week haha, so fun & happy & i felt the Spirit so so strong :) :) :)  i feel like that kind of overshadows everything haha but i guess i can tell you some other things about my week as well :) :) except the computer is about to log me out so just pray that it lets me back in again haha

so interviews with president on my birthday were great!! we talked for like 30-40 minutes and at the end he asked if he could give me a birthday blessing and he is just so sweet and i've been wanting to get a blessing for a long time but just haven't asked anyone yet........... so perfect <3 <3 i wrote down a few things that he said afterwards. also, we talked a lot about setting goals........ he asked what i wanted to do with the last 6 months of my mission and i was like HOLD UP. WAIT A MINUTE. what?????? how is today my ELEVEN MONTH MARK????????? :( :( :( :( :( :( :( but anyways i'm really bad about setting goals & thinking about who i want to be in the future so i made up a game for myself that you can play if you want to :) :) it goes like this: write a journal entry dated in the future. so for me, 22 Apr 2014. "well, it's finally here. my last day in the mission field. i feel............ i love......... i've really learned........... i'm so glad............ i know............. i have loved........... i always want to............. i am.................... love, love, love, love, love, love, love, xoxoxoxox, sister cecelia proffit forever" :) :) :) & then fill in the blanks. i'll do it this week & let you know how it goes! i just thought of it last night when i couldn't sleep haha :) :)

oh and thanks for the MUSIC i love it!!!!!!!! :) :) :) :) :) sooooo happyyyyyy :) :) elder proffit sent me the BEST cd and i love all the christmas music & home church music :) :) :)

this is unrelated to everything but yesterday in church sister r (who i love) was teaching the lesson & brought up how currently there are women who apparently want to be ordained to the priesthood, and i was thinking about that and this is what i wrote in my journal -- "aspiring for/demanding the priesthood is really degrading to womanhood -- you're basically saying that womanhood, with all of it's attendant rights & privileges, is somehow inferior to/not as great as manhood, with all of its attendant rights & privileges. God knows what He is doing. He knows me & He knows you, & He knows what each of us need to progress towards perfection. i do not believe that God gave men the priesthood because they're naturally horrible stinkers who wouldn't serve otherwise, anymore than i believe God gave women motherhood {which you don't have to be a birthmother to possess the qualities of & be a mother... it's inherent, foreordained like the priesthood} because women are naturally horrible & wouldn't serve otherwise. Women are great leaders, & men are great nurturers, & each of us is different. God knows us individually. He knows our needs, & He knows our talents. He has designed men & women to need one another, in beautiful similitude of all mankind's desperate need for a Savior <3 There is no greater advocate of women than Jesus Christ, whose church this is. Trust Him who knows & loves us best. Trust that He loves you & knows what He's doing :)"

& then this morning i added how Christ knows me & He knows exactly what i need :) :) & i'm grateful for my testimony & for this gospel of truth :) :) :)

let's see, what else........... oh yes, interviews & a birthday blessing :) :) i've written in my journal every day since my birthday! go me! :) :) so in the blessing president cutler said a few things that really stood out to me and touched my heart that i just wanted to share with you :) :) one was that he blessed me to be able to serve in such a way that i would be able to teach my children with power about serving with all of our heart might mind & strength :) :) he blessed my family (that's you guys!!!) through me & said that i would feel closer to you than ever before as i came to understand the Atonement more :) :) i realized i haven't had a priesthood blessing in almost a year...... crazy!! he is just so good & sweet :) :) :) he said over & over how much God loves me, he said that Christ had forgiven me.... things like that :) :) :)

oh AND president cutler is so cool at the Book of Mormon. interviews was basically, so what have you been studying lately? here let me expound on it like crazy & blow your mind!!!!!!!!!!! so here are some cool things i learned :) :)

alma 49:3-4, 14 --> ether 12:27. just because it was a weak spot before doesn't mean it has to stay that way :) :) :)

alma 48:10 -- moroni knew what was important to the people

alma 48:7 -- (hilarious, i think. mormon <3s captain moroni times infinity.) this is our calling -- to strengthen the faith of the people

alma 48:18; 49:30 -- corianton repented!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :)

alma 49:10 vs mormon 6:11 -- where are you??

moroni 9:6 -- who is the enemy in this verse? what would have happened if mormon had not been diligent? mormon didn't know the long-reaching effects of his diligence & faithfulness... he didn't know that someday there would be 15 million people nicknamed "mormons" and mormon.org and all of that. we don't know the effects our choices have either :) :) :)

also did i tell you about how the brother of jared asks 3 questions & gets 1 answer? ether 2-3 is the bestttttttttttt  anyways. i love the Book of Mormon :) :) :)

CONFERENCECONFERENCECONFERENCECONFERENCECONFERENCE

i love general conference!!!!!!!!!!! sooooooo so good!!!!!!!!!! everybody is like "woah sister proffit calm down" and i'm like "nooooooo i love it!!!!!!!!!! LIVING PROPHETS AND APOSTLES WILL SPEAK THIS IS AN ENORMOUS DEAL plus i miss my family!!!!!!!!! no one does conference like the proffits!!!!!!" and then i laugh at my own pun and everyone else just rolls their eyes.

story of my week.

but anyways, it was sooooooooooo great!!!!!!!! i loved it!!!!!!!!!!! such a miracle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :) :) :)

where even to begin.

well FIRST of all, everyone congratulate because i said a SPANISH PRAYER this week and i felt like hermana hirschi :) :) i said "nuestros padre celestial.... gracias por familia...... gracias por amigas... amigos?..... gracias por la comida......... por favor..... bless............ la comida......... en el nombre de Jesu Christo, amen." :) :) :) and i was so proud of myself!! hahaha :) :) thennnnnnnnn sister butler did the rest of the talking hahaha. :) :) but it was good. :)

also, wanna know something WEIRD??? sister butler and i met 6 years ago. at philmont. we realized this very late at night one night. because she was like "and my friend had a crush on this guy named jeremy carver..." and i was like "wait......... who?" and basically....... we figured it out and we met. and we did not like each other hahaha. SO SO SO SO WEIRD. yeah. WEIRDNESS.

lately we have had washington weather and i have loved it :) :) :) fall is SO SO SO SO BEAUTIFUL HERE i can hardly stay on the road when i'm driving. dangerous? perhaps!

also wanna know something dumb? (sister butler thinks i'm the weirdest person ever because i get like MAD when i'm happy about things hahaha like the stupid trees and the stupid clouds and the stupid beautiful sky!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) okay s is reading the Book of Mormon like a CHAMP she is already more than halfway through mosiah and she just started 2nd nephi like......... last week. go her :) :) :) and the other morning she TEXTS us and she's like "you two are like parents.... ye will teach them to walk in the ways of truth and soberness; ye will teach them to love one another" no. stop. no. why would you text that to me??????????????? haha she is doing soooooooooo well!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :) we just love her!

also, speaking of the Book of Mormon, wanna know something cool?? :) :) k go to Alma 47. story of lehonti and them who are "fixed in the mind with a determined resolution" not to fight the nephites. and so i wonder to myself, why? why do they care so much? do they just not feel like it? enter the footnotes! check it -- the little a before the word "not" in v. 6. takes you to Alma 44:19. what is this? the story of some lamanites making a COVENANT that they never would take up arms against the nephites.

woah, woah, woah.

this changes the WHOLE story for me. now this is a story about keeping your covenants. and woooooooahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhlini that changes everything. read it again. mind blown. wowowowowow. i love the scriptures!!!!!!! they're always changing!!!!!!!!! they're always the same!!!!!!!!!!! (1 Ne. 16:29)

so anyways, THAT was cool......... hmm. what else.

OH YES CONFERENCE.

so as i stated, i was extremely excited. s (and everyone...) makes fun of me because my hands go UP in the air when i get excited about things, which happens a lot on my mission because HELLO this is the perfect plan of HAPPINESS so what is there not to be excited about, nothing i tell you. nothing :) :) hahaha when they announced that we were going to sing press forward saints sister butler and i both went "yessssssss!!!" and threw up our hands in complete & total unison. #compunity. hahaha everyone was like "who are those weirdos" and sister butler was like "oh no i'm becoming sister proffit" hahaha it was joyful :) :) :) basically i was excited the whole time. also stephanie said that she liked the relief society broadcast and she got the chills when president monson spoke and she knows he's a prophet "but........ he has really lopsided ears" hahahahahahahaha changed my life. for the better. such a gem :) :) :)

oh yes, remember s? remember how she works third shift which means she goes into work at 9pm, works all night, and then sleeps during the day? did she come to conference? YES SHE DID. on saturday she texted us "there's one at 3 right?" and we're like s you're supposed to be sleeping but yes there is....... apparently she just WOKE UP and couldn't go back to sleep soooooooo she drove to the church to watch it with us because apparently Heavenly Father really wanted her to see it so He woke her up hahaha :) :) and then she goes into work that night, works all night, forgets that there isn't church at 9am sunday (i promise we told her!!! hahaha), drives to the church, realizes that there is no church, takes a nap in her car, watches the am session (we watched it at a members house so we didn't know this until later) takes another little nap, then watches the afternoon session. all without ever falling asleep. yes. she is a CHAMP and i love her :) :) :) and then she had her baptism interview and then she went to take a nap and then went to work!!! and tonight we are having fhe with our friends and i'm so excited! we're writing psalms :) :) :)

so basically.... i loved conference. i can't even begin to pick a favorite. it went by SO FAST!!!!!! not happy about that but that's okay :) 2/3 mission conferences done. and i still see pictures/videos of sister missionaries and i get all jealous and think "i want to be one!!" and then i realize that i AM and i am literally living the dream :) :) :) it's hard but it's good. it's hard to be everything that God expects of me. sometimes i just feel so down and hey satan is real, really real, even for missionaries........... but guess who already overcame him? JESUS CHRIST and He is my best friend so there :) :) :) i'm just trying to be a little bit better every day. and sister butler is helping me :) :) :)

i love you, family!!!!! so grateful for God's plan that allows us to always BE a family :) :) i miss you so much, especially at conference time, but i'm so grateful to be following the prophet :) :) :) happiness, safety, & peace come when we do!! what a miracle :) :) :)

love, love, love you -------
