the awkwardest thing that ever happened to me and was documented and posted to the internet.

Preface: I spent a week in a cabin with my three best friends. Stayed up late, slept in past noon. Practically got hypothermia swimming in the lake. Got really sunburnt. Chased 2 muskrats named Rattigan & Cece. Ate lunch on the roof. Took fail to a new level playing horseshoes and volleyball. Won 4089 m&ms playing blackjack. Went boating. Laid out on the dock. Walked past a hobo's lair. Went for a midnight dip. It was the perfect start to the summer :)

On the drive home............................

We see some guy with a camera, taking pictures of us!! He holds up a sign to the window with a blog address. So a few weeks later, we check it out. This is what we found.

QUOTE: "Okay - now - here's the scoop, so we passed this car full of girls just outside of Medical Lake. The driver, she's looking thrilled. The passengers are all asleep or in their own little worlds."

 "as I was saying... snoozerville."

"Now - let's get the party started...they found our photo project funny apparently."
// YEAH we did you crazy!!!

here's a story for ya......

yesterday i was weeding... and i saw a little baby shrew thing!! and it was so cute. and also scary because it ran all around and over my feet, and so i tried to catch it and give it a good home, but it kept running away, but then i finally caught it and it was wriggly and it kept trying to escape and i had to recapture it a few times... and then i finally caught it and i couldn't think of anywhere to put it so i put it in this bucket that i saw... that turned out to be full of water, so i felt SO bad for almost drowning my poor baby shrew so i fished it out and saved it and i said i was sorry and that i loved it but THEN it BIT me on the thumb!! luckily i was wearing gloves so it just like pinched the rubber. but it was still scary so i dropped it. and it scampered away and i chased after it... but it was gone and i never saw it again.

and at the end of all this, my family had been watching me. and jacob said "you looked and sounded a lot like arthur when you were doing that."

i'll take that as a compliment :) :)

what i learned today from an overcast sky.

Even when I can't see the sun, I can still feel the light it gives. I believe in the sun even when it's covered with clouds. Even when all I can see is clouds, I know that the sun is there and I can still feel the light it gives.

Even when I can't see God, or I don't feel close to Him, or He seems obscured by the problems and worries and issues that are crowding my life, I can still know that He is there and feel His influence all around me - so obvious, ordinary, and everyday that I hardly ever notice it or think about it.

I believe in the sun even when it's not shining.
I believe in love even when I don't feel it.
I believe in God even when he is silent.

Recipe for the Best Weekend Ever

1 day of whole-hearted service completely dedicated to helping someone else and not thinking of myself at all. Include healthy doses of charity, selflessness, and goodness. Sacrifice a must.

Add 1 day completely dedicated to the Lord. Again, take no thought for myself. Fasting should be included. Focus should be solely on the Lord and His will, not on self or personal problems.

Be careful to avoid selfishness or self-pity, as this will ruin the recipe.

Mix together with good people, inspiration, and a lot a lot of love.

Result: A perfect weekend. The best :)
